THE DIRECTORS

Dr Peter Fennessy, Chairman

Peter Fennessy is a consultant, and a Director of AbacusBio Limited (Dunedin), a privately-held consultancy and new venture development business with its major focus in the agricultural sector. Dr Fennessy has been a director of BLIS Technologies Ltd since 2000 and Chairman since 2006; he is also a director of a number of private companies, and was previously chair of NZBIO.

Bevan Wallace

Bevan Wallace joined the Board of Directors at BLIS Technologies in 2008. He is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute of Directors, Institute of Financial Professionals, New Zealand (Inc), and the Law and Economics Association of New Zealand (Inc.). He holds a Master of Commerce with First Class Honours in Economics and Accountancy (University of Canterbury).

Dr Maxwell Shepherd

Dr Max Shepherd is an executive director of Zenith Technology Corporation Limited and a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand. He is the longest standing director of BLIS Technologies Ltd, joining the Board in 2000. Dr Shepherd was awarded The New Zealand 1990 Commemoration Medal.

Colin Dawson

Following 10 years in veterinary clinical practice, Colin Dawson held a number of senior executive positions in the public and private healthcare sectors. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Otago Innovation Limited and is a director of a number of biotechnology and technology companies. Colin is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, the NZ Institute of Directors, the NZ Bio Advisory Council and an alumnus of the Stanford University Senior Executive Program.

Tony Offen

Mr Offen, through his Dunedin based investment company, Edinburgh Securities Limited, is a director and shareholder of private companies successfully operating in a number of business areas including commercial and industrial property, FMCG business sectors nationally and internationally as well as investment interests requiring venture and start up capital. Mr Offen’s professional memberships include the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and the NZ Institute of Directors. Mr Offen is an elected member of the National Council for the Neurological Foundation of NZ and is Chairman of it’s investment committee. Mr Offen is also a Board of Proprietors member of John McGlashan College and holds a B.Com(Accounting) and BA(Philosophy) from University of Otago.
