Great turnout for BLIS Probiotics mid-winter Polar Plunge
Over 100 people turned out for the 92 annual Polar Plunge at St Clair Beach. Weather-wise it could not have been a better day with the sun shining and mild temps - however, with the water temperature of around 8 degrees, there was a definite shock awaiting them.
Funds raised through a gold coin donation went to the St. Clair Lifeguards while The Hits radio station compèred the event.
BLIS Probiotics were the proud sponsor of this iconic event and on hand to pass out some fantastic spot prizes for best dressed. This year’s winners were a father and daughter dressed up as fairies and an entertaining Donald and Melania Trump.
There was a mad sprint to the water when the event started as participants raced to secure BLIS bodyboards floating in the water under the watchful eyes of the St. Clair Lifeguards. Each person who secured a bodyboard also won a BLIS Probiotics prize pack.
BLIS Probiotics were well represented with Professor John Tagg bravely entering the frigid waters as a large crowd watched on.
