BLIS K12 is an oral probiotic strain originally isolated from the mouth of a healthy child who was less susceptible to common ear and throat infections. BLIS K12™,  strain has been extensively studied for its ability to colonize the oral cavity and upper respiratory tract, providing protective effects against pathogenic bacteria. BLIS K12™ colonizes the oral cavity, nasopharyngeal area, and adenoid tissues. By establishing itself in these areas, it competes with harmful bacteria for binding sites and nutrients, effectively crowding out potential pathogens.
